Intellectual Property Management
1. Purpose
To protect the commercial value of the company’s intellectual property, strengthen corporate governance, and enhance the supervisory function of the Board of Directors, we have established an Intellectual Property Management Plan. This plan aims to systematically inventory and manage the scope of intellectual property, implementing a management system to safeguard the company’s business interests and competitive advantage.
The plan ensures the appropriate disclosure of trademarks, patents, trade secrets, copyrights, and other intellectual property to stakeholders, faithfully reflecting our corporate governance principles and core values.
2. Strategy
- To strengthen our competitive advantage, we proactively manage and strategize intellectual property, such as trademarks and patents, during the R&D phase. This approach allows core technologies or designs to be converted into patents, raising barriers to competition and protecting commercial value.
- We enhance intellectual property protection awareness by training employees to understand, use, manage, and safeguard the company's intellectual property.
- Additionally, we reinforce audit and review processes to ensure continuous improvement in intellectual property management.
3. Implementation Status
The company presented the Intellectual Property Management Plan to the 10th Board of Directors at the 14th meeting on December 26, 2023. Current intellectual property achievements are as follows:
Trademarks and Patents: Seven trademarks, including Carbon Butler and EZSO, have been registered in Taiwan.
Trade Secrets:
- Integrity Commitment: 100% of employees have signed the Integrity Commitment Statement.
- Trade Secret Protection: All new employees sign a "Confidentiality Agreement" upon joining, and 100% of employees have signed the agreement to comply with trade secret protection standards.
